According to experts, given sufficient rainfall in the monsoon seasons and high prices for grain on the domestic market of India, the acreage under wheat in the country next season can be up to 32 million hectares, which though inferior to 1% on the previous assessment, but still remains a record for the country.

The analysts specify that the total gross collection of Indian wheat in the next season will still depend on weather conditions in the country. So, if during the formation of the grain crops will experience reduced air temperature, the wheat crop may reach 105,8 million tons. If in January-March, 2017, on the contrary, is dry weather, it can lead to a decrease of this indicator to about 93,5 million tons.
