According to the forecast of the Ministry of agriculture of Argentina, in 2016/17 MG gross harvest of wheat in the country could rise by 38.9% compared to the previous season and to reach 15.7 million tons.

The growth of gross collection is expected to be due to the expansion of acreage under grain - by 19.7%, to 5.23 million hectares, and increase their productivity.

With regard to maize, the Ministry also expects the current season's growth in acreage under it – by 5.1% compared to 2015/16, to 7.25 million hectares.
