The main importers were Belgium – 174,5 thousand tons of grain (48.3 thousand tons of corn and 126,2 thousand tons of barley) and the Netherlands – 126,6 thousand tons (75.4 per thousand tonnes of maize and 51.2 thousand tons of barley).

According to forecasts from the FranceAgriMer in the current season is expected to further reduce exports of these crops: corn – on 20,1% in comparison with the previous season – to 4.87 million tons, barley – by 40.9%, to 4.55 million tons.

The reduction is due to both lower domestic production and a decline in demand for these crops.
