The UK increased its exports of wheat by 34%
UK for the first 5 months of the season 2016/17 exported 987,477 thousand tons of wheat

This is almost 34% more than last season. While 729,383 tons — shipments to the EU and the rest of the volume (258,09 thousand tons) deliveries to third countries.

Among third countries the largest buyer of British wheat was Algeria, previously oriented mainly to France. With the beginning of the season Algeria bought 181,587 thousand tons of wheat in the UK.
