"The reduction of wheat exports compared to the previous year was observed in January-February 2017 (148 and 75.5 thousand tons, respectively) and not associated with the introduction of import duties on Russian wheat," – said the press service.

It also said that to draw conclusions about the decline or the revitalization of wheat exports from Russia to Turkey after the abolition of fees is premature.

Recall that Turkey has imposed restrictive duties on imports of certain Russian goods, including grain. After the talks the presidents of Russia and Turkey, the duty was abolished. After the first batch of Russian wheat weighing 3 tons went to Turkey from the port of Rostov-on-don.
