Farms of the Belgorod oblast completed the spring sowing campaign, the Agency "Interfax", referring to the information received from the Deputy head of the Department of agriculture and reproduction of the environment of the region Vasily Melnikov.

"The total area of the spring crop amounted to 954,1 thousand hectares on all categories of farms, of which 726,5 thousand hectares were sown by agricultural enterprises. In General, the North went as planned and on schedule", — said Vladimir Melnikov.

Of our designated early grains and annual grasses 178 thousand hectares 64% of arable land sown with barley, 8.3 percent is spring wheat, 3.2% of the oats, the rest of the area - annual grasses and legumes. Soybean and corn this year allocated about 320 thousand hectares under sugar beet 72 thousand hectares.
