In April of this year, France exported EUR 1,396 million tons of wheat, which is the highest monthly export in the current season. Compared to April of 2016. exports fell by 43%.

The volume of export of soft wheat was reduced to 1,321 million tonnes, up 43% compared to April last year, hard wheat 39% to 74.7 thousand tons due to the low export potential.

The largest buyers of French wheat in April were: Algeria (217,5 thousand tons), Belgium (187, 5 thousand tons), Netherlands (171,1 thousand tons), Spain (136, 1 thousand tons) and Morocco (128,4 thousand tons).
