This was announced by the chief of regional management of food processing, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnologies Tatyana Zelenina.

"Investment in the development of grain processing industry is not decreasing, but rather increasing. Enough power, enough elevators. But the time has come when you need technological renewal in order to be competitive in the market. The owners of our businesses understand this and invest in production development. Last year they invested in the development of the grain processing capacity of slightly less than 600 million roubles, this year plans to spend an additional 790 million rubles", — said Zelenin meeting on the sidelines of the regional government.

According to her, the milling enterprises of the region through modernisation "achieved the best performance (in Russia – ed.) at the cost of processing one ton of grain on average no more than 1.3 thousand rubles per 1 ton of raw materials".
