Daily average of exports amounted to 235,86 thousand tons, i.e. 113.2% more than on an average day in July. Compared with the daily volume of exports in August 2016. the growth amounted to 111.5%. If these rates persist until the end of the month, the exports of corn for the whole of August will be 5.4 million tons (2.56 m tonnes in August 2016.), according to the Ministry of industry and foreign trade of Brazil.

Active exports contribute a great offer of corn and low prices for the domestic market. In August, the average export price of Brazilian corn amounted to 155,55 $/ton 175 vs $/ton in early 2017.
