According to various information-analytical agencies in the current season is projected to decrease in acreage under maize. So, experts say that only in the state of paraná acreage of corn will be reduced by 28%. A similar situation occurs in other regions of Brazil, with the only difference that the area will be reduced from 5% to 16%. Local farmers are switching to growing soybeans because of the higher internal prices than corn grain.
