In India, the economic Affairs Committee has decided to increase the minimum purchase price of wheat crop 2017/18 MG 110 per hundredweight - up to 1,735 thousand rupees per quintal, with the aim to increase domestic production of grain and stabilize prices in the domestic market, reports The Indian Times.

It is noted that the sowing campaign of winter wheat harvest 2017/18 MG should start in October this year.

In addition, the Committee also carried out an upward adjustment in respect of a number of oilseed crops within the additional 200 rupees per quintal.
