Several analysts increased the forecast of world production of grain - to 748,9 million tons against the expected ранее748,5 million tons, which, however, still much lower than the figure 2016/17 MG (754 million tons).

World wheat consumption in 2017/18 MG will also grow up to 741 million tons compared to 736 million tons previously forecast. In particular, this increase is expected in the EU – up to 128,5 (126,5) million tons, Russia – to 43.4 (40,2) million tons and India – up to 100,4 (97,3) million tons and China – to 120,3 (117,3) million tons.

At the same time, the rating of world exports at the end of the season were somewhat reduced – up to 173,8 compared of 175.6 million tonnes in 2016/17 MG.
