According to the December report of the General statistics office of Vietnam, third largest rice exporter in the world, shipment of grain from the country to foreign markets at the end of 2017 could reach 5.9 million tonnes-surpassing, therefore, the figure of the previous year by 21.9%, according to Reuters.

The total country's income from exports of rice in the current year is estimated at $2.6 billion, which is also 22.7% higher than a year earlier.

Management analysts also predict that in December Vietnam will export about 400 thousand tons of rice, which exceeds the figure for the previous month (375 thousand tons).
