The international Grains Council (IGC) has sharply revised its forecast of global corn ending stocks in the 2017/18 season to 322 million tons, compared with 206 million tonnes in the November report.

The forecast of ending stocks of wheat in the world increased by 5 million tons compared with November, to 254 million tonnes, 13 million tonnes more than in the 2016/17 season. The production forecast compared to November increased by 8 million tons to 757 million tonnes and is 2 million tons more than last season.

Forecast end of world reserves of the grain was increased to 617 million tons, with 496 million tons, still less reserves last season's 1.2%, or 5 million tons.
