In 2017/18 MG production of flax in Russia declined by nearly 25%
According to analysts of IA "APK-inform", in 2017/18 MG gross yield of seeds of oil flax in Russia decreased by 24% compared to the previous season and will be about 505 thousand tons VPD

As specified, the decrease in the production of oilseeds in the current season was partly due to the reduction in acreage under flax-Curley in Russia up to 556 thousand hectares, which is 20.2% less than the record level 2016/17 MG (709,2 thousand hectares).

Also the reduction in gross yield was facilitated by the decline in the yield of oilseed flax, which in 2017/18 MG evaluated by the Agency at the level of 9.3 t/ha 9.7 t/ha in the previous season.
