This season has been a significant intensification of supply of rye from Russia to foreign markets. So, at the end of July-January 2017/18 MG the exports of this grain amounted to about 30 thousand tons, which is more than 4 times the shipments for the entire 2016/17 MG (7.3 thousand tons).

The biggest buyer of Russian rye in 2017/18 MG is Latvia – it accounts for about 77% of the total export of grain this season. Also significant volumes of grain were supplied to Germany and Israel - share of each country of export was about 10%.
