Black Sea wheat drives out Indian
Middle Eastern exporters prefer to buy Russian and Ukrainian grain at lower price.
In recent weeks wheat shipments from India slowed down. Importers – basically Middle East region countries – switched to Black Sea grain, which price is 15-20% lower.
Price of Indian wheat in tenders remains at a level of 300$/t, against Russian and
Ukrainian price in a range of $240-250/t. Some analysts in India speak about
need of wheat prices reduction from state stocks, but the state doesn't respond
to these appeals yet.
