Mass food poisoning of pupils in Kalmykia and Murmansk region
Forty four people were poisoned in Kalmykia, five of them were hospitalized. Twenty two people were poisoned in Murmansk region, 9 of them were hospitalized.

Forty four pupils and teachers suffered from food poisoning at school of Iki-Burul
(Kalmykia), informs Interfax South with reference to chief of territorial
department of Rospotrebnadzor in Elista Anatoly Frantsuzov.
Rospotrebnadzor experts inspected the school, took samples of food from school cafeteria. Results of
analyses aren't ready, but, according to preliminary data, low-quality semi-finished
products (sausages) or insufficient heat treatment of these semi-finished products could become the reason of poisoning.
During the week-end also the message on poisoning of school students in the city of Apatity
(Murmansk region) arrived.
Twenty one school students and one worker of a canteen contacted hospitals,
subsequently they were diagnosed salmonellosis, 9 people were hospitalized.
