US companies expand corn-based ethanol business
The record corn harvest in the USA reduces prices, increases profitability of the bio ethanol industry and again opens inactive plants on bio ethanol production.
Falling of corn prices after the record corn harvest in the USA considerably reduced prices on grain. Against steady demand for ethanol, made from corn in the USA, representatives
of the agro-industrial giant Cargill declared on Monday, November 4 that the ethanol plant in Iowa, acquired by the company in 2011, will resume work. The plant will consume 150,000 bushels of corn a day and turn out five products, including dextrose, ethanol and SweetBran feed for cattle.
Other giant Noble Group Ltd. reported that also has launched its Ohio ethanol plant
after 5 years' inactivity.
