Rosselkhoznadzor lifts Holland potatoes import ban
The department received invitations from Dutch companies, interested in deliveries of seed potatoes to the Russian Federation, and also from the national organization on quarantine and plants protection.

  • Rosselkhoznadzor gave permission for delivery of 17,6 thousand tons of seed potatoes from the Netherlands, which import has been restricted since July 1, 2013.
  • During the visit to the Netherlands from February 26 to March 2, 2014 Rosselkhoznadzor experts checked samples of seed potatoes and came to the conclusion that deliveries can be resumed. The department received invitations from Dutch companies, interested in deliveries of seed potatoes to the Russian Federation, and also from the national organization on quarantine and plants protection.
  • However, the Russian party wants to receive additional guarantees of safety of seed potatoes in the form of data on results of laboratory researches of quarantine objects existence in the products.
