Medvedev suggests to construct water desalting plant in Crimea
For providing the peninsula with fresh water some projects are considered: construction of a plant on desalting of sea water, water supply system construction from the territory of Kuban (the so-called "Kuban Water" project), creation of reservoirs on Taman Peninsula, and also development of underground fields of fresh waters in Dzhankoysky and Nizhnegorsky areas.

- During the meeting of the government in Simferopol devoted to social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Prime minister of the Russian Federation declared that a plant on desalting of sea water can be constructed on the peninsula.
