The Crimean authorities do not oppose the help of famous French actor Gerard Depardieu in the development of viticulture and winemaking in the Peninsula, but not in the role of a leader in the industry.

Previously the state Duma Deputy, head of the "Party of pensioners for justice" Igor Zotov turned to acting head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov with the request to consider the establishment of the state Committee on viticulture and winemaking in the government of the Peninsula, and the post of the head assign Gerard Depardieu. The letter with the offer to head the Committee on winemaking was transferred to the actor.

Himself Zotov called Depardieu not only a symbol of French cinema and French charm, but a symbol of the latitude of the Russian soul. In his opinion, it would be helpful if such a person and an expert in the field of wines headed the state Committee for wine growing and winemaking. The new structure would help to determine the development strategy of wineries and regulation of the market of wine that will most effectively use the potential of the Crimean land.

Today Sergey Aksenov commented on this: "I respect Gerard Depardieu as an artist, perhaps he is a professional and in winemaking, I, unfortunately, is not familiar with his work in this direction. In any case useful ideas that come from the heart and that will be beneficial for you, will be applied".

According to him, the region has a worthy and competent people who can lead the post of the head of the Committee in case of its creation. "We have a decent Crimeans who can lead, we will search for and educate the Crimean frames will maintain them ", - said acting head of the Peninsula.
