Valio has stopped deliveries of production to Russia
Finnish Valio stopped the production of goods for import to Russia
As says CEO Pekka Laaksonen:
"We suspended all production lines that manufacture products for export to Russia, until such time as we can't go back to trade with Russia"
Mr Laaksonen also noted that the damage from these actions can be assessed later. With half of all exports Valio falls on Russia.
Recall that the Government of the Russian Federation from August, 7th has introduced a complete ban on the export of beef, pork, poultry, fish, cheese, milk and fruit-and-vegetable products from Australia, Canada, EU, US and Norway for a period of one year. Exceptions are introduced for baby food and goods imported by the Russians themselves.
