Farmers from the Northern regions of Moldova are going to organize in Chisinau antiprotestant protests. The reason for dissatisfaction of farmers was the free trade agreement with the EU. Farmers accuse the authorities that the agreement was signed without considering the opinion of manufacturers, which may deprive them of the markets in Russia.
Let's remind, that since August, Russia introduced a ban on the supply of fruits and vegetables from Moldova.
In response to the protests, Prime Minister of Moldova Iurie Leanca said perenapravlenie of farm products to the EU countries, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
"Now we are negotiating with Romania and other countries in search of markets for Moldovan products. Yesterday I had the British Ambassador, who reported about the agreement with one of the largest networks of shops to buy our wine and apples"
In addition, the Head of government promised to farmers subsidies to cover losses of those who will be forced to drop prices. He also assured the protesters that commercial banks will postpone farmers repayments.
