Today, August 12, in Tallinn, the Minister of agriculture of Estonia, member of the Social democratic party of Ivari Padar held an emergency meeting with agricultural producers of the country on the theme retaliatory sanctions Russia. About IA REGNUM reported in the Ministry, noting that the meeting was attended by representatives of the food industry, agriculture and fisheries.

According to Padar, although the share of Russia in total amount of export of Estonian agricultural products from year to year is reduced, for Estonia is still important Russian market, on which the country is the source of almost 20% of its products.

According to experts, the annual losses due to reduction of export of Estonian products on the Russian market may amount to 75 million euros. To minimize the damage from the Russian embargo, Estonian enterprises should seek new markets or expand existing ones, say experts.
