In the Public chamber of the Russian Federation (OP) started an emergency response team that will respond to cases of unjustified price increases for agricultural products or the appearance of shops counterfeit or prohibited to import goods.

This was reported to journalists by the Chairman of the Commission on social support of citizens and the quality of life of Vladimir Slepak, headed by a new structure.

"Often we receive information about the shortage of food, the presence of counterfeit or goods prohibited to be imported in our country. Our goal is to promptly review such treatment. If the information is confirmed, the staff accepted a joint decision about which bodies should inform about it", he said.

Slepak added that staff will also analyze the situation, "associated with various speculations, the aggravation of the situation, unreasonably high prices for products and emerging issues in the agricultural sector".

As said a member of the O.D. Pavel Sychev, he and his assistants are ready to go to shops to check received these complaints.

"The facilitators led me project "Agents" now conduct regular raids to monitor the situation in the grocery stores and various retail outlets", - he explained.

In addition, the headquarters will be invited representatives of all ministries and agencies responsible for food safety issues, as well as specialized non-governmental organizations.

"Hot line" monitoring of food prices OP opened on 14 August, shortly after Russia year limited food imports from countries that have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation. For the past three weeks have been about a hundred messages from citizens concerning the growth of food prices.
