The Rosselkhoznadzor found nearly 40 tons of re-export of fish traveling from Ukraine to Crimea

The Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) found two major re-export of the party fish from Spain and Norway, EN route from Ukraine in Crimea, according to the service.

This batch of frozen fish weighing more than 20 tons followed in the Crimea with "the fishing party" (Poltava, Ukraine).

Another batch of fresh-frozen fish weighing 19 tons was delivered to LLC "the best sea foods" (Ukraine). Inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor found in it a 8.5 ton of salmon production in Norway and more than 10 tons of notothenia production of the Falkland Islands. These producers were not accredited with the Russian veterinary service, and their products subject to retaliatory food sanctions Russia.

The Rosselkhoznadzor returned both parties fish on the territory of Ukraine.

Russia introduced on August 7, the package of measures on sanctions the United States, Australia, Canada, European Union and Norway. Retaliatory sanctions constitute a prohibition for a period of one year for import to Russia from these countries key food groups, including fresh fish.
