The only Museum in Russia fat in the Orenburg region claims the all-Russian prize "Route of the year". Award winners will be chosen in Voronezh on November 16, told TASS project author Sergey Kamenev.

The project from the city of Orsk "Ethnographic gastronomic tourism Eastern Orenburg region" took place in the final of the all-Russian tourism award "Route of the year". "Just for the award received 263 project from 63 regions of the country. Our project is in the category "Best gastronomic tourist route", - said Kamenev.

The starting point of the route was the Museum of fat, which is earned in Orsk in July of the current year. Gathered here, almost 80 types of products, all exhibits are available to taste and purchase: the fat in wine, with spices, pork salted and smoked, and even the fat in chocolate - dessert gourmet.

The Museum features paintings and installations depicting fat and history of the pig industry in General. Until then, the only Museum in the world fat acted only in Lviv (Ukraine).

According to the route East of Orenburg, which lasts from one to three days, carry tourists in Gaberlunzie mountain - home-producing goats, show the Royal spring with the old road, where he passed the Emperor Alexander the Second, at the Iriklinskaya reservoir is the largest in the southern Urals.

In the Orenburg region is home to more than 124 nationalities, the most numerous - Russians, Ukrainians, Tatars and Bashkirs, who retain their own traditions. Their national cuisine show tourists, in particular, the route serves dishes of Russian, Ukrainian, Bashkir and Kazakh cuisine. According to Kamenev, route "brought together small business owners, farmers, rural households and hotel business in Eastern Orenburg. The project employed more than 200 people".

Russian tourism award "Route of the year" is awarded on the basis of open competition. The competition is held with the support of the Federal Agency for tourism.
