In the Netherlands recorded another outbreak of avian influenza. This was announced by the Ministry of economy of the country.

The virus was detected in poultry in the settlement of Zoeterwoude, located in the province of South Holland.

"To prevent the spread of the disease was scored 28 thousand poultry, - stated in the Department. While it remains unclear whether the strain dangerous to humans. The results of the analyses that will be able to give an answer to this question will be received by Monday".

Within a radius of 10 km from Zoeterwoude there are four poultry farms, all of them are currently being tested for the presence of avian influenza.

According to preliminary data, this farm had no contact with other farms, where previously marked by the spread of the disease.

For the last two weeks of this outbreak was the fourth. As security measures destroyed a total of 239 thousand poultry, mainly chickens and ducks.
