The Association of agricultural producers was registered. On Wednesday, 24 December, was the start of the new organization.

To participate in the event was attended by Minister of agriculture of the region Vladimir Zarudny and General Director of OJSC "Corporation of development of the Kaliningrad region" Maxim basics.

He chaired the Association, the head of the group of companies "Phyto-Depot" Alexander Ivanov. He recalled that the Governor Nikolai Tsukanov put before the farmers a task to provide the region with fresh vegetables from own production.

"The collaboration we will try to saturate the market with products from local producers and try to avoid price spikes", - said Alexander Ivanov.

He also said that to date, the Association has 14 crop enterprises. It is expected that over time the Association will expand.

"The creation of the Association which unites the majority of producers of vegetables, is long overdue. We need to increase our domestic production of vegetables, to expand their lineup to hit the shelves region was presented with a variety of quality local products", - said Vladimir Zarudny.

The Minister recommended that the members of the Association to pay more attention to greenhouse business, balanced approach to the selection of crops and varieties of vegetables to smooth out the peaks of production that affect pricing.

The head of the regional Ministry of agriculture noted that on behalf of Governor Nicholas Tsukanova developed a program of import substitution, including multi-level system of state support for vegetable growing.

So, by analogy with the programme of support for young farmers to vegetable growers provides grants of up to three million rubles. To increase production of vegetables agricultural organizations will be on-budget support for each hectare of crops in the amount of from 10 to 30 thousand rubles depending on the culture. For the construction of year-round greenhouses provides support in the form of reimbursement of 20 percent of the costs incurred. While the acquisition of specialized truck equipment subsidized by the regional government. RUR 45 million budgeted for the construction of fruit and vegetable stores, about 40 million for the processing of vegetable raw materials.

Vladimir Zarudny also said that serious measures to support growers are currently being taken at the Federal level. In particular, discuss the program of preferential purchase of fertilizer and fuel, adjusted the size of the per-hectare support, mainly seed.
