The Rosselkhoznadzor on December 30, imposed temporary restrictions on import of Russian poultry meat, at the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, according to the Agency, reports RIA Novosti.

Restrictions apply to poultry meat and all kinds of poultry products throughout Italy that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 degrees Celsius), feeds and feed additives for birds (with the exception of feed additives chemical and microbiological synthesis), as well as second-hand equipment for keeping, slaughter and dressing of poultry.

Also in the message of the Rosselkhoznadzor States that prohibited the importation of similar products, as well as live birds, hatching eggs, fluff and feather, poultry meat from the territory of the Veneto region.

In addition, the Rosselkhoznadzor has restricted the importation into Russia of animals and animal products from Croatia in connection with the emergence of bluetongue.
