The company "Uralkali" informs that it became known the results of the technical investigation, the Commission RTN on the causes of the accident in the mine Solikamsk-2, occurred 18.11.2014.

The Commission examined the materials of the investigation of the accident in 1995 on the Second Solikamsk mining OAO Silvinit, the results of the monitoring area collapse undertaken by mining companies with the scientific support of specialized institutions for nearly 20 years, the details of the completed technical measures aimed at minimizing the consequences of the accident and the maximum extension of the life of mine. To the work of the Commission were involved in expert organizations and research institutions.

Based on the conclusion of the expert group, the Commission found that the cause of the breakthrough of fresh water into the mine workings mine Solikamsk-2 in November of 2014 was a massive collapse of rocks in the course of the accident and earthquake of 1995. After the analysis performed by JSC "Silvinit" and PJSC "Uralkali" measures to mitigate the consequences of an accident in 1995, the Commission concluded that their implementation resulted in operation of the mine Solikamsk-2 for nearly 20 years. The Commission has also determined that to prevent the negative development of emergency 1995 was impossible.

The Commission RTN recommended to carry out a complex of measures on localization of accident consequences 2014, and to develop measures for early detection of signs of entering shallow waters and brines in mining.

Currently, in consultation with the supervision and advice of the scientific organizations, the Company continues to implement a number of measures on localization and liquidation of consequences of the accident.
