The head of the State food and veterinary service (GPS) Lithuania Jonas Milus stated that the European Commission has called on the EU not to sign bilateral agreements with Russia, informs "Interfax".
"The Commission has called on member countries not to hold bilateral discussions on trade issues and not to sign any bilateral agreements. The Commission also emphasized that if the trade will be resumed, it will be made on the basis of the General certificate of the European Union", - said Milos.
He noted that during the meeting of the working group of representatives of the veterinary services of the EU the European Commission has said it will not go on the conclusion of bilateral agreements between Russia and the Customs Union and EU member States.
Recall that in January of this year, the head of the DG of the European Commission Ladislav Miko wrote a letter to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert, inviting him to resume delivery of individual EU countries in Russia after the abolition of the Russian food embargo, which caused the dissatisfaction of the Baltic States and Poland.
