The price of wheat in Russia began to decline after the introduction of export duties and decisions of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation (Ministry of agriculture) not to raise the minimum purchase prices for the intervention Fund in 2014-2015 agricultural year (July to June). This was announced by the President of the Russian grain Union (RGU) Arkady Zlochevsky during the press conference.

"Until last week rates in some regions continued to grow, for example in the Urals. Now all wheat prices look down, "he said.

According to Zlochevsky, the average weekly decline in grain prices in all the subjects of the Russian Federation amounted to 50-100 rubles per ton. The price of a ton of wheat of 3 class at the moment is about 11 thousand rubles per ton, according to the RGU, before the reduction is approximately 11.3 thousand rubles.

For comparison, the minimum purchase price of wheat of 3 class subjects of the Russian Federation, included in the Central, northwestern, Volga, North Caucasus, South and Crimean Federal districts is 10.1 thousand rubles per ton. By region, forming part of the Urals, Siberian and far Eastern Federal districts - 10 thousand rubles per ton.

"There is a chance that rates will continue to decline also moderately and will reach more or less attractive (level - approx. as amended) for the delivery of the intervention Fund, "Zlochevsky said.

Previously TASS reported that the Ministry of agriculture February 9, stated that the increase in procurement prices for grain 2014-2015 the agricultural year for the intervention Fund is impractical and abandoned this idea.

The government imposed export duty on wheat from February 1, 2015 until the end of the season, to stop the growth of prices for grain and bread in Russia.
