The Presidium of the Central Council of the "Fair Russia" reprimanded the members of the party, proposed a bill on which food embargo can only be imposed by Federal law, and not by a presidential decree or decision of a government.

The so-called food embargo was imposed by Russia on August 7, 2014 as part of its response to the sanctions the United States, Australia, Canada, European Union and Norway.
