"Nine criminal cases instituted the inquiry section of Khabarovsk customs on the fact of illegal cross-border movement of meat and meat products of foreign manufacture, perfect specially organized group of individuals in large and extra large size. Entrepreneur from Khabarovsk and his accomplices suspected of evasion of customs payments," said chief state customs inspector of public relations of the Khabarovsk customs Elena Popova.

The entrepreneur has built the company on whose behalf it was entered into contracts with foreign suppliers for the purchase of meat. Deliveries from Australia, Brazil and some other countries. The group, which together with the entrepreneur consisted of the Director of the company, specialist of foreign economic activity and the declarant acted from 2013 to 2015.

"The representatives of the company when importing goods to the territory of Russia was provided to the customs authority of fake documents containing knowingly false information about the actual cost of the goods: the amount is significantly reduced, which entailed the reduction of customs duties on imported products", - said Popov.

According to her, the total amount of unpaid customs payments amounted to more than 20 million rubles.
