In Khabarovsk discussed the results of the environmental monitoring of the Amur river in 2014. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Russian-Chinese working group on monitoring of transboundary rivers.

According to the Deputy Minister of natural resources of the Krai Victor bardyuk, specialists of Russia and China, noted the improvement of the status of water in the Amur river in all major indicators for the past four years.

"During this period the quality of water in the Amur river has improved from the fourth class of pollution to the third, in the Ussuri river – from the third class to the second. Currently, the quality of fish also meets all requirement", - stated in the message.

At the meeting it was decided to develop a new methodology for determining in a river of mercury and phthalic acid, which reaches the Amur to the Chinese territory.

Meanwhile, in August-October of the current year in the Khabarovsk region held a large-scale study of the quality of Amur fish. It will catch at four sites from Khabarovsk to Nikolaevsk-on-Amur and explore on 50 indicators, reported in the provincial government.
