Khabarovsk region in the coming years expects to increase vegetable production to food security, stated the head of the region Vyacheslav Shport.
"The emphasis was on attracting investment. Today on the territory of the province stopped the Japanese. The company JGC has begun work on construction of greenhouses for growing vegetables. We expect that once fully done, another 30% extra on the edge will close and we reach the point of food safety for vegetables", - said V. Shport during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, he stressed: "All the projects that we are trying in the region with investors to speak, high-tech".
"Agriculture, of course, not profiling in the Khabarovsk territory, however we plan to make high-tech cultivation in the greenhouse in our harsh conditions. And to those rural areas that have been strengthened, the people there did not move to the city", - said the Governor.
He told the President that on the territories of advanced development in the Khabarovsk region began a pilot project under the program "Labour mobility". "We will attract labour from other regions where it is impossible (to pull). Hope it will give good result in the retention of people in the far East, in the new territories", - he stressed.
