Agrarians of Stavropol territory intend to increase grape production in 2016 up to 30 thousand tons, the press service of the Governor of the region.

In 2015, according to "Stavropolvinogradprom", agricultural enterprises and peasant farms of the region gathered 24.3 thousand tons of grapes with an average yield of 48.6 kg/ha. Thus, in the current year in region it is planned to increase grape production by 23%.

As noted by the regional Ministry of agriculture, last year in the Stavropol region thanks to government support pledged 230 hectares of vineyards. In the plans for 2016 is to preserve areas for planting vineyards at this level, it is also planned to purchase specialized equipment, reconstruction of old vineyards.

This year to support the industry includes funds from the Federal budget in the amount of 77,6 million rubles, which is 47,2 million roubles more than last year. From the regional budget will be allocated to 25.1 million rubles.
