Greek farmers blocked a few hours the Minister of agricultural development of his part the Apostle in an office building in Komotini, in northeastern Greece, demanding to withdraw the draft law on social insurance of farmers and to start a dialogue with the government, reports the Athens news Agency.

It is noted that in the afternoon about two thousand farmers staged a protest against government plans to raise taxes and fees on peasants. The meeting with the Minister they were unhappy and trapped him in the administration building of the Prefecture of Rodopi.

During the day there were several clashes with police, who used tear gas. About 10 o'clock in the evening to the administration building came the Prosecutor, who demanded that the congregation disperse peacefully and vacate the entrance to the building.

Farmers stated that they would continue the protest and will block roads with tractors. The protests of farmers now occur mainly in the northeast and in the Central part of Greece.
