In the last few weeks the lag in export performance of soft wheat from Canada compared to last season intensifies.

According to the Canadian grain Commission (CGC), for forty-two weeks of the current season Canada exported 13.3 million tonnes of soft wheat, which is 3% lower than the same period last season.

Exports of durum wheat is even more significantly behind last season. During the period under review it amounted to 3.9 million tons (4.2 million tons last season).

According to the forecasts of the USDA, for the entire season (August-July) will put Canada on the world market of 22.5 (24,164) mln t and durum wheat. The decrease in wheat exports due to a decrease in harvest to 27.6 (29,42) million tonnes.
