The self-sufficiency of subjects of the far Eastern Federal district milk and dairy products in 2015 amounted to 44.3% (+1.8 points in 2014) average for the district. It is stated in the report of Soyuzmoloko to III Dalnevostochnoe the media summit, which was held on 9-10 June in Vladivostok, FEFU campus on Russky island. Analysts argue, however, that in the Amur region retained a fairly high level of 91.8%.

In other regions this figure is less than 45% (except for Yakutia to 58.6%). The trend of consumption of dairy products in the regions of the Far East corresponds to a downward trend nationwide, according to the report.

In 2015, according to calculations Soyuzmoloko together with MilkNews, the consumption of dairy products the average for the district was 185.4 kg/person/year (-4% yoy), which is 21% below the national average and 44% below the recommended standards. In some regions the consumption is significantly higher: Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – 279 kg/year, Magadan oblast – 258 kg/year, Khabarovsk Krai – 201 kg/year, however, in these regions, consumption in 2015 is reduced and has mainly provided by imported (including imported) dairy products in small volumes of domestic production of dairy products.
