The phenomenon of devaluation in Russia contributed to the growth of grain exports in recent years, however, the impact of the devaluation factor will be exhausted in the next 1-2 years, said the President of the Russian grain Union (RGU) Arkady Zlochevsky.

"Devaluation factor is temporary, it will be exhausted in a year or two, so we need to work in order to maintain the competitiveness of our grains", — said A. Zlochevskiy.

According to him, the growth of Russian exports in the last agricultural year especially contributed to the sanctions imposed against Russia by the European Union and the United States.

"This is because, on the one hand, reduced incomes, and this has led to the release of additional resources for export. On the other, the collapse of the ruble have improved the competitiveness of Russian grain on the world market", — considers the head of the Russian grain Union.

A. Zlochevskiy reminded that in the last marketing year (July 2015 — June 2016), Russia exported 25 million tons of wheat. This measure allowed the country to become a leader among the world exporters of grain.
