About 46 thousand hectares or 30% of the acreage of spring crops, according to preliminary data, subject to deduction due to the drought in Zabaykalsky Krai, reported on the meeting of the regional Commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations (CoES) acting Minister of agriculture and food of the region Viktor Yakimov.
"In parts of the group that are engaged in the inspection of crops <...> In 12 districts of the region declared an emergency in three regions - preparing the documents", - said Yakimov.

TASS added that the CoES will recommend the Governor to enter the territory of Transbaikalia mode CHS in connection with adverse weather conditions associated with drought, and damage of agriculture".
According to Yakimov, at the end of June - first half of July, the day temperature in parts of Transbaikalia was reached 35-40 degrees, and on the soil surface increased to 60-65 degrees. The heat was accompanied by minimal rainfall that resulted in partial loss of crops in the fields, slowing plant growth. The most difficult situation has developed in Ononsky and Akshinskoe areas.
The head of the Ministry of Transbaikalia has declared necessity of creation of teams for fodder in floodplains and non-affected areas.
Transbaikalia for the second year in a row suffers from summer drought. In 2015, the authorities of the region received 363 million rubles from Federal budget for compensation of damage to local farmers.
