The head of the Ministry Lev Kuznetsov met with investors from Greece in the framework of the round table at a business forum in Thessaloniki.
"More than 30% of grapes produced in the regions of the North Caucasus, but the potential for increased production volumes are still very high, the Russian government is ready not only measures of institutional support, but also real financial resources to promote this cooperation", — said Lev Kuznetsov.
According to Lev Kuznetsov, the regions of the North Caucasus are interested in getting technologies for product processing.
"For us this is a very large market, because we want to not only produce agricultural products but also products with added value, which would be competitive on the Russian market, even after the lifting of the embargo and foreign markets, as we have these niches exist", — said the Minister.
Lev Kuznetsov also added that the Russian and Greek producers have the opportunity to occupy a niche in the Chinese and Indian markets.
"The agreement on the "green corridor", which should be signed soon, will give us the opportunity through transit routes in the North Caucasus to promote our products and production to India and China. The capacity of the Chinese market is very large, and I'm sure there are markets for our producers and for the Greek" — he said.
