According to the agricultural registers and information farmers from 13 counties of Estonia has applied for grants in the Department. In the total amount of production cuts will amount to 5 thousand tons of milk. Any landowner who supplied the raw material in full according for July 2016 and plans to reduce production volume of at least 1500 kg in the next three months, can apply for a grant from the European Union.

The EU authorities have allocated to stimulate the reduction of milk production of 150 million euros. The planned volume of production decrease will total 1.07 million tons. Subsidies amount to 14 Euro cents per liter.

In Estonia, the reduction of production of milk and 5 thousand tons of milk will be allocated 674524 euros. Submission of applications for subsidies within the next three months was completed September 21. Each farm can receive subsidies only in one period.
