From the Polish side the Commission is headed by a member of the Board of the Warminsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship Sylvia Jaskulska.

Opening the meeting, acting Minister of agriculture Sergey Lutarevich noted mutual interest in development of cooperation in agribusiness.

"Today the region is actively implementing investment projects with participation of Polish business and with consulting support of Polish experts", — said Sergey Lutarevich, noting that the most actively developing cooperation in horticulture.

The biggest example is the Russian-Polish project of "Biotor" hills in the area Bagrationovsky, which includes not only the laying of the garden, and the construction of storage and organization processing. Polish company "Top garden" signed with the regional Association of producers of agricultural products the agreement on cooperation in the field of gardening and cultivation of seedlings of fruit trees, agricultural production in the region. There are examples of cooperation in implementation of the project on the cultivation of mushrooms, the production of grain. There is an exchange of experience in sphere of support and development of rural entrepreneurship. They also discussed cooperation in the field of transboundary waters on the Russian-Polish border.

The Polish side expressed its interest in continuing cooperation in the agricultural sector.

A meeting of the Commission on agriculture and the processing industry was held in the eve of the XVI session of the Russian-Polish Council on cooperation of the Kaliningrad region with the regions of the Republic of Poland. The event will take place on 5 October in Olsztyn.
