Dmitry Medvedev noted that because of the crisis in the global economy due to the devaluation of the ruble, the turnover decreased by about 30%, including by reducing import items.

"My goal as a Prime Minister is to now stimulate the growth of trade turnover. It would be good for Israeli business, and for Russian. How this could be done? We have key projects, which could accelerate our cooperation. This cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, in agricultural technologies", — said Dmitry Medvedev in interview to the Second channel of Israel, noting that the supply of agricultural products account for a third of the trade turnover of Israel from Russia.

"Israel beautiful agricultural technologies, there is a lot to learn. We have a special relationship between the agricultural centers, agricultural universities. This is the direction I think is also very important and interesting", — he added.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the trend connected with high technologies, development of start-UPS, new economy.

"In this sense, also Israel has a very good start, and we have a very good development in this segment of the economy. If we stimulate this area of our cooperation, I am confident that we will be able to reach very good results in trade cooperation. I'm not talking about major projects such as energy and gas projects, which are now also talking about" — said Dmitry Medvedev.
