The sides discussed issues of trade-economic and investment cooperation between Russia and Nigeria.

"Last year the trade turnover between our countries reached $ 308 million, of which 2/3 falls on agricultural products", — said Alexander Tkachev.

It is noted that the share of agricultural products from all Russian exports to Nigeria accounting for 64% of imports from Nigeria is 96%.

Despite the significant share of agricultural products in the structure of Russian-Nigerian trade, the Minister expressed confidence that the potential of bilateral trade in agriculture is not fully disclosed.

Alexander Tkachev said that Russia is ready to increase supplies of grain, and also expressed the interest of Russian exporters in the open Nigerian market for the supply of products of animal origin.
