More than twenty Russian manufacturers of food – sausages, confectionery products, mineral water and groceries – presented their products to potential buyers from Vietnam. With the Vietnamese side the event was attended by representatives of 12 retailers and more than 50 importers and distributors. The conference was attended by representatives of the Asian e-marketplaces Lazada and Аdayroi.

Now the export of Russian food in the Republic has shown significant growth over the first 9 months of 2016, it increased 2.2 times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 23 million dollars. According to M. Mamonov, a favorable factor for increasing imports of Vietnam has been the entry into force in October 2016, of the agreement on free trade with the EEU.


"It is profitable, first of all, our suppliers of agricultural products and food industry products. According to M. Mamonov, the range of Russian products with the potential in the Vietnamese market is extremely wide. Is poultry, beef, milk, some kinds of vegetables, preserves, jams, separate kinds of confectionery, flour, sunflower seeds, peas, including peas, legumes, confectionery, juices, wines.

Outreach "Russian Gastroweek" – a unique format that includes presentations of Russian companies – manufacturers of food products, b2b-the exchange of contacts and tasting. The first events were held in spring and autumn in China in the cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. In 2017, the REC plans to hold tasting sessions in India, Japan and the Middle East.
